Purple Delight is a 19 × 19 cm Toverlux silhouette by the Dutch artist Baukje Exler, a spring piece in oil pastel that shows its colour best with a light shining through it.

Baukje works both figuratively and in the abstract, and says what she wants is for people to be drawn in towards the light and drift off for a moment in the colour. A silhouette does that for her quite literally, one lamp at a time.

Purple Delight, oil pastel by Baukje Exler

19 × 19 cm, printed on translucent polypropylene

Fits the Toverlux Lamp and the Frame, sold separately

From the maker's spring collection

Made for display rather than play

Switched on for the one who asked for purple, and left on a little longer than anyone planned.

Dutch design, made in small numbers.
