Sixteen vivid colours, made from Japanese rice bran wax, that draw on almost anything — and wash off with just as little effort.

The Kitpas Medium Stick crayons are the foundation of the Kitpas range and the starting point for any collection. Made in Japan from waste rice bran oil — a by-product of Japanese rice milling that would otherwise be discarded — they are buttery smooth on paper, brilliant and vivid on glass, windows, and mirrors, and water-soluble throughout: add a wet brush or finger and any crayon stroke becomes a loose, flowing watercolour wash. The paper wrapping is durable and water-resistant, and each stick is the hexagonal shape that reduces rolling and improves grip. They wipe clean from non-porous surfaces with a damp cloth and draw on paper as precisely as a coloured pencil. The 16-colour set covers the full spectrum alongside warm and cool neutrals.
