Ferm Living, Pear Money Bank - Cashmere

A pear in glazed stoneware — and a very considered place to put your coins.
The Pear Money Bank is Ferm Living making the case that functional objects should be held to the same design standards as decorative ones. Cast from glazed stoneware in the soft, warm cashmere colourway, it has the weight and presence of a sculptural piece — stem and leaf giving the form a clear front, the rounded body satisfying in the hand — and a coin slot at the top that earns it a place in a drawer or on a shelf for years. At 18.5cm tall it reads as an object first and a bank second, which makes it as appropriate on a parent's bookshelf or desk as in a child's room. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Glazed stoneware, approx. 18.5cm H x 12cm W — cashmere colourway
- Coin slot at top; wipe clean with a damp cloth
- Sculptural pear form with stem and leaf — designed to be displayed as well as used
- Suits children's shelves, desks, and adult living spaces equally

Ferm Living is one of Denmark's most celebrated design studios — and their children's collection brings the same rigorous thinking to the spaces where children live and play that their adult range brings to the rest of the home. The result is furniture, décor and objects that are genuinely beautiful, completely functional, and designed to be kept long after childhood is over.
