Toverlux, Silhouette by Baukje Exler - Birds
Couldn't load pickup availability
Breakfast goes a little quieter when the lamp is on and there are birds in it. Birds is a 19 × 19 cm Toverlux silhouette by the Dutch artist Baukje Exler, a summer piece made to glow with the light behind it, in the lamp or against a window.
Baukje teaches her oil pastel method every day: colour laid down one layer over the next, then worked together with a cloth. It is slow work, and it suits light, because the layers are what the lamp finds first.
- Birds, in oil pastel by Baukje Exler
- 19 × 19 cm, printed on translucent polypropylene
- Sized for the Toverlux Lamp or the Frame, each sold separately
- In the maker's summer collection
- To be lit and looked at, not played with
Birds in the window at dusk, for whoever is last to bed, long after the real ones have gone quiet.
Dutch design, made in small numbers. A Toverlux lamp is bought once, the silhouettes forever.
