Happy monsters, grumpy monsters, excited monsters, sleepy ones — the Emotional Monsters Snap card game uses the familiar thrill of snap to introduce emotional vocabulary to children from age three. Players split the deck, flip cards into the shared pile, and call "Snap!" when two matching monsters appear in a row — but the monster illustrations mean the cards are doing quiet educational work the whole time. The J.O.S. Studio designed the characters in Melbourne, combining AI tools with human creativity, and the result is a set of faces expressive enough that children begin naming the emotions without being prompted. Compact, portable, and as useful in a waiting room as at a kitchen table. The companion game to the Emotional Monsters Bingo set.
