A complete Kitpas art kit in a Fair Trade jute bag — everything a child needs to draw on paper, glass, windows, and mirrors, and to turn those drawings into watercolour paintings.

The Kitpas Medium Sticks are where this set begins and ends. Made in Japan from waste rice bran oil, they are buttery smooth, brilliantly coloured, and genuinely water-soluble — which means a wet finger or the included water brush transforms any crayon drawing into a loose, flowing watercolour. On non-porous surfaces like glass, windows, and mirrors they wipe away cleanly with a damp cloth. On paper, they can be smudged and blended with a finger to make gradients and neutral tones. The included reversible A5 drawing board, transparent sheet, stencil paper, and How-To instructional booklet extend the play further into window art, handprint art, and stencilling.

The jute bag that holds it all is handmade by craftswomen in Bangladesh through a Japanese International NGO. Every bag purchased allows the women who made it to buy approximately 500g of rice — the staple food of Bangladesh — and all revenue supports ongoing improvement in their lives and livelihoods.

Kitpas is a Japanese art materials company committed to both environmental responsibility and inclusive employment. Their crayons are made from waste rice bran oil; their chalk uses a patented process that recycles discarded scallop shells. The company provides a supported work environment for people with physical, intellectual, and mental impairments — and their products are better for it.
