Klippan, Tulip Baby Wool Blanket

Organic lambswool, a tulip pattern designed by one of Sweden's best-loved design duos, and the kind of softness that improves with every wash.

The Tulip baby blanket from Klippan Yllefabrik is woven from 100% organic lambswool — which means no pesticides, no chemicals, and no antibiotics in the breeding of the lambs. The lambswool comes from New Zealand and is traceable back to individual farms. At 65 x 90cm it is sized for a pram, a cot, or a lap, and the jacquard weave produces the same image mirrored on both sides — there is no wrong side to this blanket. The tulip motif is designed by Bengt & Lotta, and the palette is warm and botanical. Wool regulates temperature naturally, which makes it genuinely useful across seasons. Machine washable at 30°C on a wool programme. Made in Klippan's own factory, Klippan Saule, in Riga, Latvia.

Klippan Yllefabrik has been weaving textiles in the south of Sweden since 1879 — a family business now in its fourth and fifth generation. Everything is produced from start to finish in their own mills using 100% natural fibres: wool, cotton, and linen only. The Tulip pattern is designed by Bengt & Lotta, the Swedish design couple who met at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm and have collaborated with Klippan for decades.
