This is Maileg doing what Maileg does best: a piece of furniture so precisely observed and so carefully made that it makes the world it belongs to feel completely real. The Television is a miniature retro set in a wooden frame with a mint-green front, a silver-coloured speaker grille, a tiny dial, and four legs — and it has two tricks that set it apart from any other doll's house accessory. Press the small button on the front and a light illuminates the screen from behind, creating the warm glow of an actual movie night. Tilt the set gently side to side and the lenticular screen shifts, giving the impression that the cowboy mouse printed on it is galloping across the frame. Mouse size — suited to Mum, Dad, Big Brother, and Big Sister mice. Requires one CR2032 coin cell battery, not included. Pairs with Maileg sofas, armchairs, and the Mouse Hole Farmhouse for a complete living room scene.
