Maileg, Waffle Set Mouse

Saturday breakfast in the mouse house begins when the little waffle maker opens and there are four hearts inside. Maileg's Waffle Set is Mouse scale, 15 pieces in metal, wood and synthetic, 4.5cm high and 6.5cm wide, for ages 3 and up.

Each waffle hides a sliver of metal, so a magnet-pawed mouse can carry its own to the table, a small thing worth watching. With plates, cups and a tin of hot chocolate, breakfast for two is properly laid. Expect to find a grown-up quietly rearranging it after bedtime.

• 4.5cm high, 6.5cm wide and 6.5cm deep; weighs 0.09kg
• A waffle maker that opens on four heart-shaped waffles, which lift out
• Two plates, two cups and saucers, a jug, two spreads and a hot chocolate tin
• Metal, wood and synthetic
• Mouse scale; a metal core lets magnetic paws hold each waffle
• Surface wash only
• Ages 3 and up; small parts, so not for under-threes

Four heart-shaped waffles on two small plates, and one mouse at the table who has clearly had a head start.
