She wears a shell of thick velvet and paddles along on spotted flippers, her ocean-blue eyes edged with a glint of glittering yellow. At this size she is less a toy to be carried than a presence in the room, the one a toddler settles against at story time. In Tout autour du monde the maker pairs her with the Small Turtle, the two of them out together on their daily walk.
