Quut, Hippo Float
Couldn't load pickup availability
Every pool needs one enormous, good-natured animal for children to clamber onto and slide off again. This hippo is 130 × 173 cm, made from thick, non-toxic vinyl, with handles to grab on the way up.
A float this size tends to become the centre of the game: the island, the ship and the base, all in one afternoon. For all that, it weighs 495 g flat, so it folds into the beach bag, and it is easy to inflate when you arrive. A repair patch comes in the box, kept for the summer someone finds the one sharp corner of the pool.
- 130 × 173 cm, 495 g

By late afternoon it has usually been renamed, given a backstory, and climbed on by every child in the street.
Quut, pronounced "cute", comes from Red Dot award-winning Belgian designers, parents who wanted toys to outlast the summer.
