Toverlux, Silhouette by Baukje Exler - Amber Fields

Slide it into the lamp on a long summer evening and wait to see who notices first. Amber Fields is a 19 × 19 cm Toverlux silhouette by the Dutch artist Baukje Exler, a summer landscape that is lit from behind rather than hung.
Baukje has spent more than twenty years with oil pastels. She builds the colour up in layers and softens it with a cloth, chasing the place where colour and light meet. A silhouette lets it happen twice: in her studio in Doorn, and again each time the lamp goes on.
- Oil pastel by Baukje Exler, blended with a cloth
- 19 × 19 cm, printed on translucent polypropylene
- Slots into the Toverlux Lamp and the Frame, each sold separately
- From the maker's summer collection
- A decoration to light, not a toy
Put away flat when the season turns, and brought out again the day someone asks for the amber one.
Dutch design, made in small numbers. A Toverlux lamp is bought once, the silhouettes forever.
