Restaurants are long when you are two. This game comes out of the bag between ordering and the food: a soft 35 × 40 cm microfibre board and 24 little patches that float, wipe clean and survive a dip in the water jug.
It is for ages 18 months and up, and it grows with the child. First the patches go onto matching pictures. Turn the board over and, from two, they are sorted onto squares of colour. From three it becomes bingo for one to four players: patches face down, turns taken, first full board wins. Few games let a toddler and an older sibling share one board; this one does.
- Ages 18 months+, 1 to 4 players
- 35 × 40 cm reversible microfibre board
- 24 floating, waterproof patches
- Travel pouch; patches rinse, board washes at 30°
Later it turns up on a beach towel, sandy and damp, with a grandparent losing badly.
Quut, pronounced "cute", comes from Red Dot award-winning Belgian designers, parents who wanted toys to outlast the summer.
