Siblings on holiday need a contest that is fair, short and over before anyone gets cross. This 40 × 40 cm microfibre board offers two: a horse race decided by the dice on one side, and noughts and crosses on the other.
The race is all luck, which gives the youngest an honest chance; noughts and crosses is all thinking, which gives the eldest something to prove. It suits two to five players from 3 years old, with 18 silicone pawns, two dice and a pouch to keep them together. It packs small and light, so the family tournament can carry on at the airport, and the board rinses off after the beach or goes through the wash.
- Ages 3+, 2 to 5 players
- 40 × 40 cm reversible board
- 18 silicone pawns and 2 dice
- Travel pouch included
- Pawns rinse clean; the board washes at 30°
Best of three becomes best of five, then best of nine, and the sun goes down on the final.
Quut, pronounced "cute", comes from Red Dot award-winning Belgian designers, parents who wanted toys to outlast the summer.
