Candylab
Vlad Drăgușin is a Romanian architect who grew up loving American muscle cars. When his daughter was born and he went looking for toy cars that reflected any of that, he couldn't find them. So he made them himself, in Brooklyn, starting with a 3D printer and a woodshop. Each Candylab car is solid wood, drawn from a specific moment in automotive history — the Fifties cruiser, the Land Rover, the Airstream camper. Chunky enough for a three-year-old to grip and considered enough to sit on a grown-up's desk.
